He wrote the latter during his time in prison. It was his debut single and he received thousands of YouTube views. Eventually, major record labels began to take notice of him. Pop Out with Lil Tjay is the first single that was released in the context of Columbia Records' distribution contract. The track received million of hits on YouTube and reached number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 marking the first song to chart for the artist. Polo G rose to fame for his work as an YouTube star and gained an impressive amount of attention on other platforms, like Instagram or Twitter.
